Stortz Custom Homes, LLC was formed in 2008 by brothers Nick & Tim Stortz. As former part owners of a different well known local builder, Nick & Tim spun off to create their own unique vision in the CUSTOM HOME BUILDING market. Both Nick & Tim are life long Wisconsin residents that know the area extremely well.dream home while giving you incredible value for your dollar.

I have been in the construction business for 20+ years as a carpenter and Custom Home Builder. I am a lifetime resident of Washington County and I cherish the fact that we have built our business and reputation on that small town pride and honesty that everyone loves.



I will be your project manager and expeditor for the construction of your new home. I have been in the building/construction business for the past 30+ years expediting new construction, remodeling bathrooms, kitchens, basements, decks and more.

I offer 35+ years of experience in customer service and sales in the building industry, and have been voted numerous time in the top 7% for customer service and satisfaction by Milwaukee Magazine. My ultimate goal that I always strive to achieve through my service and satisfaction is to earn your personal referrals to your family and friends.


Most frequent questions and answers

We do not have a “fixed” price for our homes that we build, because as a custom builder, we never build the same home twice. A general idea for ranch homes currently are $240-$260 per sq. ft.  2 story homes are around $230-$250 per sq ft. Pricing varies depending on the taste and amenities someone may or may not want. However your custom home will be bid out “exactly” as you desire, so all numbers are known “prior” to moving forward. 

Typical house construction will take 6-8 months from start to finish.

After initial conversations, we will begin to have a designer draft up a preliminary plan FOR FREE!

Our contract price includes the COMPLETE construction of your home; including well/septic if needed. Your lot purchase and landscaping (including a concrete or asphalt driveway) are separate costs that are not included.
